We would like to take this opportunity to extend our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for our amazing founders, Nancy and Manuel Thomas. This dynamic husband-and-wife team are accomplished business professionals and successful entrepreneurs who identified a significant need within our community regarding transitional-aged youth. Transitional-aged youth includes young adults who have previously participated in the special education system and have reached the age at which they can no longer access public education services. As a result, they no longer qualify for essential supports that are critical for facilitating their transition into adulthood following completion of high school.
Nancy, a dedicated Registered Nurse, strongly believes that the strength of a nation is reflected in its care for its youth, elderly, and individuals with disabilities. She serves as our visionary and passionate advocate for inclusivity and access to public resources, ensuring that individuals can participate in our program regardless of their financial circumstances. Conversely, Manuel, an experienced IT professional, is known for his exceptional work ethic, attention to detail, and meticulous execution. He believes that true commitment to a cause requires complete and sustained dedication.
Together, they recognized this critical service gap and chose to leverage their expertise and experience to establish a robust social enterprise. They took personal risks and invested their own resources to realize their vision of a vibrant social service organization dedicated to empowering and improving the lives of individuals with disabilities and/or mental health challenges. Driven by their creativity and determination, they embarked on a mission to foster an inclusive environment where adults with disabilities and/or mental health challenges can become integral members of their community, access essential life supports, and truly thrive as they successfully navigate their surroundings.
